A New Armada, A Few Changes

Posted: 26 July | Author: admin

A new year at Armada and plenty of changes! Likely you’ve noticed our new look. It’s a vast departure from the previous website, and for good reason.

Why the change?

In short, changes in the past year have led us to seriously re-examine our market position and reflect on recent milestones and setbacks. Naturally as we continue to grew so to should our brand.

Among the changes it turned out to be the launch of a number of highly successful brands for our clients that forced us to consider why some initiatives were working so well and what – if any – commonalities existed among them.

In spite of our experience in a variety of market sectors (construction management and documentary photography, for instance) a common denominator turned out to persist: strong ideas. Each client had a clear idea of what they were doing, how they’re distinct from their competition and a relatively good sense as to why their customers should care. A strong idea as the centre point of the organization fostered a sense of purpose, at times extending out to communities and through other forms of giving back. They hold a sincere belief in what they do and their brands are a natural extension of that conviction.

More to the point, it led us to the realization that we’re able to add the most value working with “idea-driven organizations”. A deliberately loose description and as such it means different things to different people. For some clients it turned out to be a genre-defining product, for others an essential service working towards the public good or even innovative forms of community engagement. Sometimes disparate at the surface, they share a common conviction that what they do matters and that their story deserves to be told (where we come in).

To get a better sense of what we’re talking about, why not check out a few of our recent projects: Unitech Construction Management, Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration, and Robert Semeniuk.

Perhaps this sounds like your organization? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Until next time,

Sean & Jordan
