Cocoa Tanning is Vancouver’s newest upscale tanning studio, serving a discerning clientele in a boutique environment.

Background
Dissatisfied with the status-quo in Vancouver, local entrepreneurs Ali and Shirin Entezariun envisioned a new type of boutique tanning experience, catering to an emerging up-scale market in the urban core of downtown Vancouver. Armada was commissioned to bring their vision to life through a complete branding program, spanning identity development to environmental signage and web development.

Our Approach
Drawing inspiration from fashion and lifestyle branding, the positioning statement ‘A Healthy Attraction’ was conceived to communicate the benefits of Cocoa Tanning with emotive and lifestyle-centric language. Evocative photography and a sophisticated colour palette were employed to reinforce Cocoa as a premier tanning studio. In addition to brand development and print design, Armada worked as a consultant to the interior design of the new downtown location.

Since their official launch in April 2010, Ali and Shirin have already seen significant walk-in traffic and steady sales figures as they continue to grow their client base.
